 Gothic tower

By PREMPEL - Dec. 31, 1969

A gothic tower, probably a temple.
Multiple domes, topped by gargoyles

I started this building from the roof and made more decisions as I worked my way down.

Height: 25.5"
width 7.5"
depth 9"

total dimensions 43.5"

Molds used:
Dungeon Builder
Gothic panels
Turret
Prison tower: 1.5" round arch

PREMPEL - to share my model building with other enthusiasts

Average Rating: 4 out of 5  4 Ratings

Thanks for the positive comments about the paint. I experimented a bit, so there are a lot of different colours in there.

There is an interior but only painted with a dark undercoat. (life caught up with me and the deadline)
I added a 1/2" facade on three of the interior walls, which makes for a very small usable floor space.

In a game it might be used for one or two priests to reform rituals, probably involving bells, inscense or fire, which would account for the height. I had built a small altar, painted like whit marble, you can see it through the doorway, but it did not come out well enough to include it in the photos.

The uneven alignment was not intentional. This was only my second model, but I do like the aged quality it adds to the structure.

I really like the use of the Turret Mold on all four corners on the way down and you still managed to blend in a really cool entrance facade, which is harder than it looks.

Does the model have an interior?

I also agree with the others who said it had a great paint job.

This is a nice piece with interesting use of the gothic accessories which work well. Some of the brick alignment could be straighter however this may well be intentional to give that "aged" look. The paint job is also well done which also adds to the model.

Nice entry!

Sweet! I love it and will be 'borrowing' that idea. I have been looking for a tower design and that seems to be a awsome design. But can you use the inside of it to game with?

A very interesting design that is well painted. I like several features of this building. Maybe it is at the center of a necropolis surrounded by your smaller pieces....just an idea.

Overall a nicely built tower with an excellent paint job.
