2) construction----the whole project, breaks apart into two 3' 2" x 2' halves. With the mountain and water fall section,as a 5 1/2" x 2' add on along the left side. The higher areas are propped up by 2 x 4's with 1/4" plkywood ontop.in the front half,i used variations of the circular tower, and dragons inn to form the entrance and inn.The belltower has statues as well as a working bell in the top of the tower. The stables were a last minute idea i thought of because it looked too bare on the lower level.the bridge across the river is an elogated version of the standard fieldstone bridge w/ the add on of torches mounted on each end.Along the river is a house with a water wheel attached, from the deck are a set of stairs leading up to the main house and guards platforms along the cliffs edge.along with the fieldstone guard turret is the main house.Which is fitted with a working fountain ,and lights inside.Using the wooden planks i created the display racks for the blacksmith's shop and used brown gasket paper for the awning.
3)fluff---- All the figures and statues are either supplied by warhammer or reaper miniatures.Including the weapons on display in the blaksmith's shop. The fountain is run off a standard tabletop water fountain pump that sits in a plastic holding tank mounted underneath the base.it is then connected to 1/4" fishtank airhose tubing that runs through the main house and out to the fountain. After it's pumped out of the tube it's then recycled back into the holding tank through a 1/2" copper tube run back through the base. The lights are from walthers commonly used fopr model railroads. They're mounted inside the main building and shine behind thin plastic windows painted w/ latex based paint. They are standard 12v lights connected to a wall outlet through a DC to AC converter. The scenery is all from woodland scenics.Their realistic water, water effects, tree kits, clump foliage, static grass, plaster paper, and earth undercoats.
4) thank yous----A thank you to the gentlemen that posted his blueprints for the "house w/ the waterwheel" on the building plans page.Seeing his design inspired me to modify and add it to my project. So thank you very much

wow - you've really gone to town with this piece, i love the river and waterfall within the castle it gives the overall model a lot of life, makes the terrain very interesting, the composition with the towers is good and i like all the little statues. My one comment would be that in some areas the painting lets it down a little, a good light wash of black would bring some of the detail out of the statues and hide some of the white specks of plaster, i think you'd have something awesome on your hands then. oh and i liked the lights as well.

Kskyhappy - the impossinble just takes a little longer
