 Specter Keep

By GANTRELL - Dec. 31, 1969

This project was my first true large scale labor of love using Bruce's molds. Up until now I've only made (many) of the actual buildings that the molds are designed for. This Keep took about 6 weeks to build, largely because of the large number of specialized bricks that were needed (notice how many bricks are needed to make the points of the front corners). Other than that it was a simple matter of design and construction. I take this keep with me to various games, therefore I made this VERY modular, It breaks down into 15 pieces and the roof of the main building is removable so figures can battle inside. Aside from the corner specters and the handmade ladders, this project is 100% standard blocks from CastleMolds molds.
The molds used were:
Prison tower
Basic block
Basic floor tiles
Octogon tower
Dragon's inn

This would make a welcome addition to my gaming table at any time, i can just see my high elf army digging in nicely here, none of that helm's deep rubbish. i think the model is well assembled and painted, i like the pointed walls allowing greater battle field coverage and crossfire against any would be scalers.

kskyhappy - the impossible just takes a little longer
