I wanted to make a small gift type item that I could make for friends. Many of them like candle

holders, so I decided to build one with the Wizard Tower and the main mold. I had to figure out

how to make the candlelight able to spread, and a removable top to let the candle heat out when

it is in use.

I used dark grey excaliber for the bricks and scupltey to make the flame. The glass votive

holder is a $.99 holder from the craft store. I designed the building around the holder to make

sure I had the right size of the building and the windows.

One advantage of this design was that I managed to use up all the extra 3/4" blocks from the

wizard mold.

I painted the whole thing with the basic 3 tones grey method and detailed the demon supports in

gold and painted the flame.

Great paint job and very tight construction. I don't see why this couldn't be used as a type of beacon for wargaming also. very nice versitle piece.

Snuffer lid? I thought about that after I made the holder. Have not figured out a good solution yet though. If it was more of a closed in container it should be fairly easy. Or maybe build the snuffer into the lid, so it drops down over the candle.

A basic idea but very functional. Can a version be made that will extinguish the candles when the lid is set in place?

I really like this piece. It's a neat idea and it looks good too. Didn't care much for the gold faces but that's just a personal thing. Overall a great job!

A nice decorative candle holder. Painted in a shiny way that express the fact that it is a decorative piece rather than a gaming piece.
