If I recall correctly, castle walls were generally built like this - blocks on the outside, filled with rubble and dirt and that sort of stuff - so my concern would be the arrow slit - besides that, I think it is a great job.

Well executed, but, I also wonder why an above ground tower filled up completely with dirt, almost as if it was purposely filled rather than degraded into ruin.

If this was a filled foundation, why is it above ground?

Maybe if it was next to a big crater, and there was a sort of blast catch of debris, (but not as much), it'd make more sense.

Another way this might work better is if you based the model inside a pit dug out of insulation styrofoam board, and made it look like an architechtural dig where almost the entire tower was buried.

Great overall job on this piece. The one thing I was questioning was I noticed you have a window slit on the outside of the wall, but on the inside it is completely filled with dirt and debris. To me, either the window is out of place or the debris is out of place. The paint job is wonderful and the ruined look is very convincing.
