 U.S.A.p.e.

By BRIGUY385 - Dec. 31, 1969

Mold used:
Station Builder

Extra stuff used:
piece of cork for bottom, 6 pieces of wood for the elbows and knees, 2 custom rocket exhausts, 2 imp eagle symbols (cut in half) beads for the eyes and rivits, and magnets to hold the weapons.

Dia:
11" tall 5" wide and 7" accross

I made a butt out of the station builder blocks! Yep, thats how this one started out. I was goofing around with the wedge pcs. and various fits of the station builder blocks, when I noticed before me a butt.
Oh how to incorporate this into a build? It had to be something quasi organic based, as most robots don't have rears. So naturally I got to thinking....when on came a commercial for King Kong....yes a robot gorilla....Ha ...Ha...Ha... with big machine guns and rockets!!! But what to call this creation? Looking around the room, I was drawn to the dvd collection...whence I spied "Team America World Police" Score, a patriotic robot called .....U.S.A.p.e. Which must stand for...Unique Simian atomic Powered Exoskeleton. Well there's an insight into my twisted thought process.
I used wood pieces at the joints for strength and a few extra bits to spruce it up. magnets hold the guns in place, and I plan on building more weapon systems. Not shown in the pictures, but the boob bombs are also removeable. The jets on the back were from a custom mold of toy pieces. The rivits are small beads, as are the machine gun barrel ends and the eyes.
Thanks everyone, and remember a 40 foot tall Gorilla-bot with twin linked machine guns sleeps wherever he damn well wants.

All i can say is that when i read that you were just handling the pieces and made a rear end that it inspired you to create the Great APE i smiled. Overall a great Mech...and must really look great with all of your other creations!

Excellent addition to your range of mechs. Sheer madness - I love it.

Reality is a nice place to visit, but you wouldn't want to live there ;-)

I think this is a great addition to all the other wonderful robot projects you have done in the past. I can't really see any design flaws to speak of. Great work on this one.
