Overhead View of the Interior
|
[ View ]
|
|
Abstract : |
This is the overhead view of the interior. Each floor is basically the same layout. This is the second floor. I closed off the entire wall with floor tiles, but for the upper floors the gap in the middle is filled with foam board and once it's painted it will have sand on it to represent fill between the outer and inner wall.

Abstract : |
The entry stairs go through a turret and then across a drawbridge. I still have to build the yoke for the roof of the outbuilding so that you can actually raise the bridge. I couldn't quite figure out how to do a portcullis for the turret, but I will put in either an iron gate or a heavy wooden door.

Abstract : |
Rather than mess with a proper spiral staircase, I squared it off. It was a royal pain to get all these pieces to fit and still have access to all or the arrow slits, but I'm still happy with the results.

Start of the Roof

Abstract : |
Here is the base for the roof. I will use wooden planks to cover the vertical ends and wooden shingles for the roof itself. I considered lead roofing, but decided for the older style.
