By DENALIGREYWOLF - Dec. 31, 1969 Referencing castle books, I decided that I need to build wall and block tower pieces to protect my main fort or castle. Warhammer sell a fort with 4 walls and gate. The problem with this piece is that you cant really rearrange the pieces. In designing the wall and block towers I wanted the to be interchangeable and modular. Easily moving all of the parts including the stairs around as necessary. Each wall section is 6 inches long and made up of 32 blocks. The walkway is 6 1x1 inch pieces glued together. The arch support is the window piece from the Wizard Tower. I tried to make a walkway that was 2 inches wide, but it didn’t look right or to scale. I am proud to say that I am very happy with the results. I so far have only build two block towers, each one serves a different function; one is corner tower, the other one can be placed between two walls. Both have opening for troops to move through them. I didn't build stairs inside the tower because of the lack of space. The towers are 2 x 2 inches with the basic blocks being wrap around them. Had I built a tower that was 4x4 or 6x6 I could place stairs inside to give a better appearance and realism.
