 Necromancers Throne

“Necromancers Throne”


Fluff

Deep in the hidden vaults of an ancient and forgotten palace sits the throne of the necromancer. Hewn from obsidian and decorated in deaths heads the thrones dark stone reflects the lifeless and baleful stare of the lich seated upon it.


Construction

The throne is made of approximately 36 blocks cast in Patternstone H. (A brand of plasterstone available in Oz).


Moulds Used

#51 Dragons Inn Mould (Window edging)
#54 Gothic Church (Capping)
#55 Bell Tower (Recessed arch, decorative blocks)
#56 Tomb (Large arch, small bricks)
#62 Roman Temple Mould (Smooth ¼”x1/2”x1” brick)
#70 Fieldstone Mould (Skulls)
#80 Dragons Teeth Accessory Mould (Skull)
#170 Window & Door Edging Mould (Edging brick)

In addition basic floor blocks were gotten from many different moulds.


Customising

The small brick window edging was sanded to fit the angle at the top of the throne.


Painting

The throne was painted in a basic flat black followed by drybrushing in silver. The skulls were painted in silver then washed in black and finally drybrushed in silver.
