 Drawbridge Gatehouse

By DADCAT - Dec. 31, 1969

I started with the floor and made a solid base from four sections of mold #200 (The Wall Builder). After surrounding the floor with 1/2 and 1" bricks frrom mold #100, I continued bulding up the walls, leaving an opening in the front and rear. Before gluing the roof (two more wall sections), I cut a hole so that stairs (from The Prison Tower Mold #60) would allow access.
After fashioning the door from Sculpy, I attached it to the building with a small dollhouse hinge. Several angled blocks (from mold #110) surround and protect the opening to the door. I attached small jewlrey chains through 1//2 x 1/2 blocks wth holes drilled in them.
3 coats of various shades of grey paint aand it serves 2" as well as 72nd scale soldiers well.
Overall dimensions are 4.5"d x 5.5" t x 9.5"w. The drawbridge/door measures 2.5"w x 3.5"t
