I have the great news informing all of you that the HADD1 voting and submission system is functioning properly!

The process is going to be fairly easy (I think...) Each entry will have a title, an abstract explaining - briefly - the project and possibly some other statistics (such as block count and/or molds used in it's creation), and a 'large' explanation area. This area is where you can use HTML tags to help render and display your project explanations within the HADD1 categories.
After entering the description and instruction information you will then be presented with a looping image insert process. The image addition process is identical to that of the image gallery (actually it IS the gallery). The only difference is that the images will only display as part of your contest entry. Once the contest is completed, your images will then be displayed in the image gallery with a flick of a switch in the database records. They will also remain attached to your contest entries for everyone to continue to see the projects and images in one setting. Quite a neat function if I do say so myself.

You can submit as many images as you would like to help illustrate your design and construction. Just as in the image gallery function - you will be presented with a title and an abstract field for each image. These fields should also be completed so that when the images are displayed in the gallery section, they will have some descriptive text associated with them.

All image will be displayed as thumbnails with your title and abstract of the contest entry. The title and abstract of the images will display later in the gallery section.

When a user selects the entry, it will open the record and include the explanation field as well as all of the thumbnails of the submitted images. If you click on one of the thumbnails it will display the image at full size. Using the back key in your browser will bring you back to the contest entry for further review.

There will be three categories - Small, Medium and Large. Each category will contain all of the entries for that category. Each entry will be prefaced with the usual information - Who created the record, the time and date of submittal, how many times it has been looked at, how many votes so far and some other navigation links to help connect you to the entry information.

One item of important note: Once voting begins, each time a vote is registered for an item in that category, it's record will be moved up a 'priority' chain - thus moving it's display the front of the line. The more votes, the higher the priority.

Once you have voted in a category, you will no longer be given the option to vote in that category again. You will be prompted before submittal of the vote - just to be sure you are voting for the right entry.

Once the deadline arrives for voting, the entry(s) at the top of each category will be the winner of the category. In the case of a tie, I will have to make a swing vote to resolve the tie. Please also remember that there is an overall winner category which will have Mitch Michaelson's sponsored mold as the grand prize. Whom ever has the greatest number of votes on their project will be the winner of Mitch's mold. If there is a tie for overall winner, Mitch will be making the swing vote for it.
Obviously, he will not be eligible for his own prize. Should any of his designs be one of the top contenders, it will automatically be disqualified for that position.
Three molds are being sponsored by WWW.VOIDGAMERS.COM (Scott Spieker), and the overall prize mold is being sponsored by Mitch Michaelson (Terrainosaur) : http://terrainosaur.freeservers.com
