Wall Builder # 70 Dragonsteeth # 80 Small Brick # 250 Other pcs. used: Plaster head pc. plaster skull 2 plaster hose pcs. 3 plaster gear pcs. plastic toy wood McDonalds Happy meal toy 2 plastic cap beads Dimensions: 8 1/2" high 5" wide by 6" long Construction: Did you ever start on a piece and then set it aside? This fella has been sitting around for over a year, and I finally said enough, I've got to finish that Dreadnaught. I tried to follow the Games Workshop Chaos Dread as closely as possible. The legs were made from pcs. of the Dragonsteeth and Dragon's Inn molds. I had to sand one leg a bit to get it into a different position. The gear pcs. on the top of the legs are from a custom mold I made from toy parts. There is a wooden dowel piece that joins the legs to the torso and each other. I filed the hole from the Dteeth mold arch bigger to fit the dowel. The torso is basically a big box constructed with regular blocks. The arms were seperate and glued on afterwards. The metal plates were glued on top of each other and then the side gaps were filled with filler. the hose pcs. on the gun arm and under the helmet are from an old hulk toy. I made a mold of these. The head is taken from a Gargoyles action figure, and of course I made a mold of this too. The gun arm is mostly regular bricks, with some added for effect. The before mentioned hose pc. as well as another gear type pc. for the barrell of the gun. The skull on the weapon comes from a skeleton warriors toy. ( yea I made a mold of it too) The left arm would have been almost impossible to do with Hirst blocks....yet. It is comprised of a jumble of various parts. It was made to be removeable in order to change the weapon. The plastic pc. with the elbow joint (it still bends) is from an old mattel space building toy. It is secured to a wooden piece. The fingers are made from a McDonalds Happy Meal Transformers toy. A plastic girder was used for the "lacing". I had recently gotten the Small Brick Mold, so I was able to finish the missile racks on the top. The missiles are made from pcs. from the Dragonsteeth mold with buttons for the rear exhaust. Painting: My crappy Dig Cam dosen't do much justice to the actual pc. He's painted just like any other mini with just a lot more paint. Conclusion: Now that I've got a Chaos Dread and a Chaos Lord, I'll need to build up a force of Space Marines for them to oppose. The funny thing is, I don't even own warhammer 40K .
