| To create an article of how-to-build a similar if not a complete copy of your project, along with your photos, you will need to know and utilize some very basic procedures to accomplish this goal.
Firstly, you will need to be a member of this site to contribute to any of the sections contained within it. Secondly, you will want to post all of your photos before moving on to the written article itself. These photos should all be posted in their respective sections, for example: All of the photos for my project dealing with a warf have been posted in the Waterfront Image Gallery section while the building plan had been posted in the Building Plans Image Gallery. Each image within this website is accessed as any other resource on the internet - through a URL or Universal Resource Location. These URLs can be included in any article that you post within the site, therefore your images in the different sections can all be brought together into one concise location for easy distribution and viewing by others. It is important to note that internet resources are not always available to everyone at all times because a server may be down or moved, the site hosting the resource may have been moved or shutdown or for a variety of other reasons as well. With that said, we will be dealing with resources located on this site, which should always be available to any other resource hosted here. An article within the VOIDGAMERS.COM site is basically a collection of text with some optional limited HTML tags for text formatting. The visitor's web browser does all of the hard work of collecting all of the resources necessary to combine all of the elements within your article. All you need to be able to do is open two browser windows - one to work on the article and the other to copy URLs to include your images in the article itself.
The HTML tags and their modifiers are supported within an article are somewhat limited in scope due to the site handling the rest of the site's formatting process. The tags that are supported are as follows:
So let's get to it! Below is a very simple sample article that includes a resource available on this site. I will also explain how to accomplish this very minor but impressive feat:
I provided a brief title, then a brief abstract of what this article was about, then I moved onto the more important part of the Article Text or Body. The body is where I include images and format text for a more appealing and enjoyable read. Here I have included an image of one of Jeff Collins' gaming boards from the Hirst Arts Image Gallery Section using the following HTML tags:
The image HTML tags has also been modified with the ALIGN=[top | bottom | left | right | middle] attribute (I had used the LEFT option). These alignment attributes will display the image and allow text to wrap around it on the opposite side. The HSPACE= and VSPACE= attributes specifies in pixels the amount of space to leave blank around the image itself. As you can see this text is now wrapping around the right side of the image with a 5 pixel gap between them. I was sure to seperate all paragraphs with the <P> tag so that there is a clear definition from one statement/paragraph to the next. After all of this copying and pasting, I had clicked the submit button and Viola! The article is saved and I have a success message. I click the back button to so that I may view the article and I can then modify the entry to correct any mistakes or misspellings.
