 The Epsi Shrine

By DUKEDREAL - Dec. 31, 1969

The Epsi Shrine in the lands of Cinna

Fluff:
Far away in a long ago past the col-la wars raged between two great houses, the Epsi and the Oke’s. Only this one large megolithic creations survived the wars. The shrine was built around it to protect this ancient relic. The Epsi Shrine was secreted away from the world and guarded long after the col-la wars ended in stalemate. The Epsi Shrine is now located in the lands of Cinna, where the high priest has a sense of humor and continues a strange ritual of dancing backwards with a special hat that looks like hair on fire. Very strange indeed.

Besides the original idea came to me upon seeing someone elses monolithic Epsi idol in the background of their own works. Thank you Cinna for the inspiration and an opportunity for a little humor!

Molds Used:
Mold #40 Basic Block
Mold #42 Gothic Arena Accessories
Mold #43 Gothic Panel Accessories
Mold #52 4" Circular Tower
Mold #201 Floor Tiles Various Sizes

Size:
The Shrine of Epsi is 6 inches wide by 8 inches long and 5˝ inches tall.

Construction:
The shrine uses the basic blocks as well as some found objects. The gates are balsa wood and bamboo skewers. The roof is made of foam board with matte board attached to create the ridges. The lights are from a Christmas light string powered by two AA batteries. The interior is painted with metallic paints to help cast reflectively across all surfaces. The paint colors used were Aluminum and Titanium to create a shiny interior reminiscent of an aluminum can.
