 Gothic Bridge Set

By IMAHILUS - Dec. 31, 1969

I used the following molds to create these boxes:

#40 - Basic Block mold
#41 - Dungeon Accesory mold
#45 - Dungeonbuilder
#50 - Wizards Tower
#201 - Floortile mold
#240 - Wood Shingle Roof
-----
When i started planning this (yes, i did make plans for it!),
i had in mind to make 4 of the same boxes...
Though rather quickly i noticed it wouldnt look that great, and that it would need more variety.
So i quickly made 2 distinctive groups, yet i was still planning on making identical boxes for each group.
This changed however, when i got a new shipment of fresh molds!
Including the wizards tower Arathion (my friend) ordered.
I decided to make one set look like temples, one more or less a fantasy type of temple, and the other a 'shrine' in front of a stonehenge type structure.
The first temple.. well, it isnt based on much. No real story either.
The second temple, i based it on stonehenge.
A rest for the doomed. A last bastion of hope so to speak...
Only later on i found out my mother mostly plays 'south'.
The keeps, well.. i wanted to make one to use some roof, the rest.. well, to make it look like a keep it needed those caps.. so thats pretty much how that one came to being =)
The second keep was hardest to plan and design.
As it needed to be a keep.. yet still a original form.
After a good rest i just though, what the heck! lets make it more or less like bruce his wizards tower! Since i cannot follow building plans, im sure itll look quite a bunch different!
And so it does =)

A friend of my mother made the banners, the flags.
They really finish the job.
Without them, they dont look bad or so.. but they would still miss something.
I knew this after making design floorplans of the buildings, and thus contacted her in time of my mothers birthday =)
It all came together very well, and it was done in time.

What my mother had to say that day: "..."
I more or less had to put a bucket under her jaw because of all the drool =P
She likes it =) She even wants to send foto's (i know its with Ph, but im dutch.. we write it with a F =P) to the bridge magazine, hihi!

IMAHILUS - huh? website? i thought this was for a forum membership..
