By GENERAL_GLEN - Dec. 31, 1969 This entry introduces the concept of using Hirst Arts molds to form artistic wall hangings. This wall hanging entry is designed for miniatures storage and display. It has room to store 7 miniatures comfortably, which should be large enough for most standard dungeon parties. What better way to keep the players' minis separate from the rest of the collection and give these mighty heroes the lodging they deserve! You are, of course, not limited to such a modest wall condo as included in this entry. Your own imagination (and available wall space) is the only real limitation to the size of your wall condo.Key features: The base (or backing) of this wall hanging is made of 1/2" hardwood, cut to exactly fit the assembled mold. The remainder of the piece consists entirely of Hirst Arts components, as detailed below. The door in the center hides the screw hole for attaching the hanging to the wall. The door is glued to a piece of brown felt that slightly overlaps the two sides. The felt holds the door snuggly in place and allows it to be removed easily (to relocate the shelf!). The other key feature is the use of the standard pyramid mold to form the bottom of this piece. Using these pieces upside down gives the bottom a nice shape and blends well with the standard gothic blocks. Molds: The basic blocks set (#40), the basic pyramid set (#90) and the floor tiles set (#201) form the bulk of the pieces used in this entry. Other bits include: Arrow slits from the Wizard's Tower Mold #50, large skull from the Field Stone Wall Mold #70, Door from the Field Stone Accessories Mold # 71 and the bone piles and archway from the Gothic Dungeon Builder Mold #45.
