 Beckwood Church

By MALARKEY - Dec. 31, 1969

8x5.5x7 inch church
named after the person I gave this to for a birthday present
molds used
tomb mold
bell tower mold
Gothic Arena Accessories
Gothic Panel Accessories
Egyptian Decorative Floor Tile (the smooth sandblasted tiles)

I used Bruce Hirst's printed plans for the stained glass windows
http://www.hirstarts.com/plans/plans.html
changing the color scheme to fit the look I wanted.
I printed the windows on regular printer paper, oiled the back
coated it with several coats of Golden's Gel Medium to get a plastic like sheet.
I used the arch pieces in the tomb mold to "sandwich" the bigger back stained glass window.
To build the roof , after gluing the pieces together I laid it upside down and did several coats of water and sprinkled dry plaster smoothing it out with a large paintbrush until i had a stable roof.
I used images from the Sistine Chapel to decoupage the ceiling.
oh....and if you look real close you can find the churchmouse.
