By FRENKIE - Dec. 31, 1969 On my website http://clan-rag.gameparty.net/bitchie/case/9/index.htm you can find step-by-step how i made this castle. Including in the first pictures you will see the three molds I used to cast the blocks. The last photo’s are the finished product. Molds 70, 71 and 72 were used. The castle measures 8” wide, 12” long and including the tower also 12” high. I started making a aluminium sleeve around my barebone PC case. I copied all the holes and slots for free air in- and outtake. To obtain the perfect height I sawed one row of rectangular blocks in half. I didnt make much special blocks, but I did make a lot of skulls, which I made hollow with a dremel-tool. For the big castle door, I used a simple wooden plank, which I carved in and burned with a flame to make it look older. I uses aluminium to make the hinges and stainlesssteel chain for the moat-bridge-door. The big shield on the bridge is also aluminum and I made the swords from aluminium and bronze. I uses green grass powder from railroad hobby store to make some moss on the stones. The PC inside is a Shuttle barebone, which I use to take along to LANparties. The temperature of the PC has NOT increased by using the castle. The PC harddisk LED is rerouted to the dragon, where I made a highpower LED inside the mouth. Inside the tower I added another coolermaster fan which provides a bit more draft; the tower doubles as a chimney. Plans for the future; Mounting the PC power LED to a small LED inside a hollowed skull. Adding LED light to the two flame-torches beside the door. Frenkie
