 Chess-Castle

By MUTARK - Dec. 31, 1969

Here are some facts that I have build:

The ground-plate is: 28” x 28”
The construction is made out of more than 1.400 pieces
Weight (complete): 13,4 kg
Building time: nearly 4 months

The mold I have used:

Mold 70
Mold 71
Mold 72
Mold 74
Mold 220
Mold 260

I have build the most things in a modular wise. Fist I have built the chess-plate an the floor around. Then I have built the walls.

In the next step I have assambled the first modules an than I have built the 4 towers.

The painting was made with an antrazit ground and a darker grey for the stones. The wooden door was painted in two brown colors. The structure of the groundplate was made with plaster an painted in a dark brown.

The next step was to build some fiels off very little stones an the green for the gras. At least I have glued some mor details on the ground to give some live to the model.

The hole chess game (including the figure) were made out of Hirst-Arts stones.
