Hasslefree Miniatures' 'Tiriel pack' from Fantization.com
GW Sisters Of Battle St Celestine mini

Yellow LED bulb, battery, alligator clip, and neodymium magnet

It started out as a mini base, and rapidly spiraled out of control. I've been doing a lot of Hirst bases for minis lately, and I wanted one that would do justice to the Saint Celestine mini/character. The grander the ideas got, the more unuseable it got as a gaming base. Naturally,
the solution was multiple parts. Digging through my box O' minis, I came upon the standing and kneeling Tiriel from Hasslefree. I bought them a while back with no clear purpose in mind; I just had a feeling they'd be perfect for something. From there, the playing base/display base/terrain feature was obvious. My friend Mike provided the LED and battery for the divine radience. The bundle of flowers was made from greenstuff. Since Celestine can 'deep strike' in mid battle, it's only natural to follow that she should 'burst forth' from the top statue in mid battle.

The small shrine had gone largely unnoticed for years. Some knew the story of the young woman depicted atop and within the shrine, but to most it was just another tale amidst endless voulmes of Imperial canon. All save the girl who had been moved by the story since the first time she heard it, and brought flowers every week. When the forces of chaos arrived and the city was overrun, the convent complex was overrun with refugees and the defence forces knew they could no longer hold out. The girl snuck to the shrine one final time, so say goodbye and make her peace, holding what were not so much flowers as weeds and tatters stems she has scavenged along the way.
As she offered her last prayer, a glow began to fill the shrine, and then the skies above. The crowning statue was rent asunder with a shattering boom, and there sprung forth a figure with graceful wings, gleaming armor, a sword wreathed in fresh flowers, and an aura of terrible vengeance. Cultist trembled and daemon took pause as the figure drifted forth, and the sky filled with dropships bearing a snow-white fleur and a cargo of warriors filled with holy fury....
