Hanging Gardens of Babylon Printer Friendly Version   By MALARKEY - Dec. 31, 1969 Hanging Gardens of Babylon This 48 x 60 inch mixed media painting uses hirst arts blocks for the basis of my depiction of the Gardens. This painting took me about 7 weeks divided between casting and then assembly and then painting. It's based on half inch mdf board which glued the blocks to then primed then gessoed to accept paint.
