Construction
The central idea behind this building was to have a complex that could be used as an island out in a lake. The stairs lead up to the main building. The top floor is the master suite, the ground floor the dining hall, and the basement the servants’ quarters. In the round tower the main floor is a dance hall area while the basement level is the kitchen for the complex. There are several different levels with a main front landing and a side smaller landing near the kitchen entrance.
The stones set in the roof of the dance hall and the hall itself was set in plaster to create unique patterns in the floor. The use of the warm tone stones was to offset the cooler tone finished pieces.
Fluff
This building is the ancestral home of a noble house. The island has been converted into a manmade paradise. It is only reachable by boat. Many private parties have been held with dancing in the grand hall going until the early morning hours.
