 Shalestone Brewery&Tavern

By IMAHILUS - Dec. 31, 1969

The Shalestone Brewery&Tavern was originally intended to be a stronghold against the orcs and trolls of the area.
Allthough the cliff face they were excavating proofed to be unsuitable for deep delving and construction.
An odd dwarven brewmaster saw the potential of the site.
A dwarven mine wasn't far from the site, the hold was only a couple of hours away, and a human settlement at the bottom of the mountain is only half a day of riding by horse.
So he setup his brewery.
When construction of the brewery was near complete, he noticed he didn't have enough room for the tavern he had dreamt off, so they added the extension using shale from the river.

I'd like to thank Bob Olley, Rastl, Abaroth and KeeblerOrc =)

Bob Olley ( http://www.olleysarmies.co.uk ) was graciously enough to supply these WONDERFUL! dwarven miniatures!
They work PERFECTLY and set the mood and add atmosphere and etc.
This build really wouldn't be what it is without the inspiration and mood that these Dwarven World mini's provide.
Crisp detail, and a charm to deal with, I give Bob Olley a huge two thumbs up!
Sadly enough I couldn't have them all painted in time..
But I will paint em gently in the upcomming days and post piccies of those on the HA forum (once the HADD is over.. gotta be fair) =)

I'd like to thank keeble for letting me see the joy of 'keeblifying' a build, adding so many details that a build comes alive =)
Thanks to abaroth and rastl for general support and some hard to get supplies =)

Thanks!

Molds used..
Loads, I used the fieldstone molds, pretty much all the non-tower gothic molds, cavern floormolds and my own 'slate' custom mold (slate pieces are available through the CMP)
The list of the actual molds really is too long to just note down here.. sorry.

Dimensions: around 40"x30"x12"

Miniatures: dwarves are from Olleys Armies (see Bob Olley above in thank you notes), chickens are from megamini's
I might aswell cut the chit-chat, enjoy the pictures!

IMAHILUS - huh? website? i thought this was for a forum membership..
