|
Abstract : |
long view of the exterior, i noticed one problem with the double loading doors, if you glue the top on you'll never get the door out, so just leave the top section unglued

Abstract : |
In an attempt to get away from using Hirst bricks for all my projects, I resolved to build a master from scratch. This 4x3 wall panel is constructed from plastic card stamped w/ a brick pattern & edged with plastic card, all glued on 1/4 inch foam core.

Space Hulk tile blueprint
|
[ View ]
|
|
Abstract : |
This is a Sketchup plan for making a 1st Edition Space Hulk tile set using Hirst Arts' new sci-fi molds. This plan only uses two molds -- Starship Wall Mold #301 and Pipeline Floor Mold #273 -- but would require dozens of castings of each.
The blueprint only shows one of each type of Space Hulk tile. For the full 1st Edition set (including the Deathwing and Genestealer expansions), you would need to cast and assemble:
1 - 3x3 room (single entrance) 3 - 3x3 rooms (two entrances, 90 degrees apart) 1 - 3x3 room (2 entrances, 180 degrees apart) 2 - 3x3 rooms (three entrances) 1 - 3x3 room (4 entrances) 4 - 5-sqr. long corridors 4 - 4-sqr. long corridors 7 - 3-sqr. long corridors 7 - 2-sqr. long corridors 4 - 1-sqr. long corridors 8 -"T" intersections 8 - 90º corners 8 - 4-way intersection 1 - 4-way intersection (wide, spiral) 5 - 1-sqr. deep corridor dead-ends 2 - 1-sqr. wide, 2-sqr. deep corridors ending in chutes 1 - 5x5 Room (2 entrances, 180 degrees apart) 4 - 3-sqr. wide, 4-sqr. long corridor (exit at one end) 3 - 3-sqr. wide, 3-sqr. long corridor (two side exits 180 degrees apart) 1 - 3-sqr. wide, 3-sqr. long corridor 1 - 3-sqr. wide, 4-sqr. long corridor 1 - 3-sqr. wide, 3-way corridor T intersection 1 - 3-sqr. wide, 90 degree turn 1 - 3-sqr. wide, 2-sqr. deep corridor dead-end
All in all, about 350 floor tiles would be needed! Quite a project, but one I'm hoping to pursue eventually.
