I hosted the Battle at Death's Gate scenario on Saturday.
I was not playing so I didn't tell the other players exactly how many victory points destroying (for the Empire) or protecting (for the Undead) the manhirs would get them. I just told them that they could be destroyed and that they were worth points.
I did this for two reasons: I like to have some surprises in my game and I figured it would make the game too easy for the Empire. It seems to me that a quick rush by some Empire knights could, in effect, win the game in a couple turns.
One of the Empire players was a little upset with me because he felt the point values for the manhirs were too high and he didn't realize destroying even one would most likely win the battle.
As you may have guessed, in our game the Undead were victorious.
I was wondering if anyone else had played this scenario, how it turned out, and what your thoughts were on the scenario.
