OK, OK. I love 3-d. And it really works well for Star Trek - take a look over at the Full Impulse section.

But with all the fighters and missile salvos, it gets really cluttered for BSG.

So I relented. And restatted all the ships to the 2d environment. Since we no longer had the issue with arcs (90 degree arcs were needed in an environment where the ships have full 720 degree manueverability) I converted to 60 degree arcs. Which solved some problems for me on the smaller ships capabilities...

Also added a completely revised Mercury, Cylon Hades (1st War) and Lethe (2nd War) basestars, and the Valkyrie (dubbed Valhalla class by my RPG group).

As always, questions, comments, crude remarks welcome - michaelewebb@yahoo.com

Hello Mike,

great designs and a great improvement.
While 3D ca be visually pleasing and challenging, I think you're right about the difficulty of playing in 3D.
Certainly for a game of BSG where you got them Vipers, Raiders, Battlestars and Baseships competing on the board.
Not forgetting the missiles.

Thanks for sharing these.
